Evropska unija je danas saopštila da je Irska nezakonito odobrila američkoj kompaniji „Epl” poreske olakšice u iznosu od 13 milijardi evra i naložila zvaničnom Dablinu da povrati od te kompanije neplaćeni porez, plus kamate.
Komesarka EU za konkurenciju Margret Vestager je tim povodom izjavila da „države članice ne mogu da odobre poreske olakšice odabranim kompanijama. To je protivno propisima EU o državnoj pomoći”, prenela je agencija AP.
Vestager je navela da je trogodišnja istraga pokazala da je Irska odobravala velikodušne poreske olakšice „Eplu” tokom niza godina, tako da je korporativni porez koji je ta kompanija plaćala na svoj profit ostvaren u Evropi pao sa jedan odsto iz 2003. godine na samo 0,005 odsto 2014. godine.
Evropska komisija je saopštila da „Irska sada mora da povrati neplaćeni porez od 'Epla' za period od 2003. do 2014. u iznosu od 13 milijardi evra plus kamate”.
Irska vlada je na to reagovala saopštenjem u kojem je negirala da je američkom proizvođaču „ajfona” i drugih elektroničkih proizvoda, kompjuterskog softvera i onlajn usluga odobrila povoljan fiskalni tretman.
„Irska i dalje tvrdi da je u ovom slučaju plaćen čitav iznos poreza i da nije bilo državne pomoći. Irska ne sklapa dogovore sa poreskim obveznicima”, navodi se u saopštenju vlade u Dablinu, prenosi Tanjug.
Irski ministar finansija Majkl Nunan je danas najavio da će zatražiti dozvolu od irske vlade da uloži žalbu evropskim sudovima na presudu Evropske komisije.
„Važno je da pošaljemo snažnu poruku da je Irska i dalje atraktivna i stabilna lokacija za dugoročne i značajne investicije. 'Epl' posluje u Irskoj još od osamdesetih godina prošlog veka i zapošljava više hiljada ljudi u gradu Korku”, istakao je Nunan.
