The Internet Society of Serbia, together with the Internet Club from Ljig and the Osečina Public Library, has signed a Protocol on Program Cooperation and Mutual Support in Achieving the Goals of Serbia’s Digital Agenda.

As part of this cooperation, the Internet Society of Serbia donated a specialized scanner plate with accompanying DSC cameras and digital memory cards to the Osečina Public Library. The scanner plate also has additional historical value, as it was created by the legendary innovator Voja Antonić. This donation will significantly enhance the work of the library and enable the digitization of local heritage, making it accessible to a wider public.

“On behalf of our local community and the institution I represent, I would like to sincerely thank the Internet Society of Serbia for this valuable gift. The equipment we received will allow us to preserve the cultural heritage of our region and make it accessible to future generations,” said Ana Ivković Vasiljević, Director of the Osečina Public Library.

By signing this protocol, the three organizations have committed to working together on projects and programs of digitization based on the strategies of Serbia’s Digital Agenda in the fields of culture, information society, and the development of electronic communications until 2027.

This initiative represents an important step in connecting the civil and public sectors, as well as in expanding the digital capacities of local communities across Serbia.
