Održan skup Pristup Internetu u Srbiji: Problemi, izazovi, rešenja

"Pristup Internetu u Srbiji: Problemi, izazovi, rešenja" bio je jednodnevni skup organizovan od strane Internet društva Srbije u saradnji sa Registrom nacionalnog Interneta domena Srbije (RNIDS) koji se odigrao 6. oktobra u prostorijama Centra za kulturnu dekontaminaciju. Događaj su činila tri dela posvećena infrastrukturi i digitalnoj pismenosti, problemima u vezi sa Internet pristupom koji postoje na nivou Evropske Unije, kao i načinom na koji aktuelni procesi privatizacije Telekoma Srbija mogu uticati na Internet pristup u državi.

Skup je otpočeo panelom na kome su govornici i govornice iz različitih uglova pristupili pitanju pristupa Internetu. "Smatramo da, govoreći o pristupu, moramo posebnu pažnju posvetiti pitanjima digitalne pismenosti, kao i njenim klasnim, rodnim i starosnim dimenzijama. Želeli smo da pojam pristupa Internetu osvetlimo i socijalnim razmatranjima, pored standardne i ne manje važne priče o infrastrukturi i njenim nedostacima u zemlji i regionu", rekli su iz Internet društva Srbije.

Tokom drugog dela skupa, reč je imao Frederik Donk, član Evropskog biroa Internet društva, koji je izneo osnovne teme kojima se bave na nivou Evropske Unije, među kojima je naglasio pravo na privatnost, pitanja mrežne neutralnosti, nadgledanja…

Završni panel okupio je važne stakeholdere sa domaće scene kada je reč o privatizaciji Telekoma Srbija i otvorio živu debatu na ovu temu. Događaju, nažalost, nisu prisustvovali predstavnici Ministarstva za telekomunikacije čije bi prisustvo značajno doprinelo započetoj diskusiji, ali i pored toga, aktivisti nevladinog sektora, stručnjaci za procese privatizacije i predstavnici sindikata Telekoma uspeli su da odgovore na pitanja publike i učine javnost informisanijom na ovu temu.

Internet društvo Srbije najavljuje nastavak organizovanja debata na bitne teme u vezi sa stanjem Interneta u Srbiji i srodnim temama.
