We are inviting all citizens of Serbia to join Internet Society Serbia and our initiative Air to the People and to participate in workshops and seminars where they will have an opportunity to build and install their own Klimerko, an air quality monitoring station.
A Klimerko is a low cost device that measures air quality in real time and measures levels of PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 units in the air. Following the workshop, participants will be able to use their device at home and by doing so, will help in collecting more accurate data about the air quality in their place of living.
Priority will be given to Serbian citizens that live in parts of the country where there are few or no monitoring stations available, or where existing data shows that the air pollution levels within that region are harmful to their health. The high priority regions are places such as Radinac, Smederevo Carina, Bor, Užice – Centar, Kosjerić, Niš, Valjevo, Požarevac, Kikinda, Veliki Crljeni, Lazarevac, Sremska Mitrovica, Vranje, Čačak, Subotica and Belgrade.
Open call closes on February 1st, 2021. . The workshop and seminar will take place in the second half of February.
